To stay the way she is, to simply sit and remain an observer - Time and time again, it's only left a bitter taste in her mouth, poison that gnaws at her stomach and slithers through her veins.

Though, she can't say much since he was the one who had to take time out of his busy schedule to accomodate this little assignment. She remembers the doubt flickering through the eyes of the higher-ups when she'd asked for a chance to learn and prove herself, that small crack of a crooked smile that had tainted the atmosphere as they handed her the information.

Perhaps, they had hoped she'd learn something from this - That weakness was a sin or that broken wings would never get her far. Perhaps, they'd wanted to see how far she would go. Perhaps, they'd wanted to dissuade her and break that fleeting illusion she held of Rocket. She had not been born into darkness but when she speaks such words and makes her choice, she has to be willing to follow through.

Tugging on her mask, it's clear that she wants to take a peek around the place but she knows better than to simply start touching things without a proper plan. So where was when she needed him?

Her question echoed in his head, and Killian glanced at her, confused. Not alone? She couldn't possibly be referring to - Deoxys writhed, blaring alarms at the sudden intrusion. The panic's so intense it blows Killian's train of thought off the tracks and onto its side. [break][break]

Impossible, Killian thought. He and Deoxys couldn't be that connected. They shared a body but not a brain. Surely his thoughts, his mind, were his and his alone. [break][break]

Killian stopped in front of the salon, brow crumpling like someone punched him in the gut. "I...no, I'm not. But you don't need to worry about that." didn't she, though? Deoxys wanted nothing to do with her. Killian could feel it wanting to push on her mind. [break][break]

The admin took a deep breath and straightened his face. "She's a child, harmless. Worry about the people in the building. They mean us more harm than her." [break][break]

Which is why she lets out a small sigh of relief when she catches the glow of his eyes in the dark, staring right at them as he approaches. Then he stops, nudging his head towards the inner workings of the building and waits for them to join him.
